Around Indy, the Drumstick Dash has become an annual tradition for many, and it’s easy now to see why. This year was my first time attending the Drumstick Dash and it was a blast! The idea of getting up early on a holiday to go out for run/walk with a 20,000 other people didn’t appeal to me much at first, but, after the fact, I’m happy after that I went.

Around Indy: Small Parks

If you’re from the Indianapolis area, no doubt you’re very familiar with Eagle Creek Park, Broad Ripple Park or Fort Harrison State Park. But, if you’re far from these major parks, like I am now, or you just don’t want to pay a fee to enjoy some outdoor time for a few hours, there are dozens of great smaller parks in Indianapolis and the surrounding area to enjoy free of charge! Around Indy: Tina’s Tea Room

Rooibos Tea

A colleague at work mentioned Tina’s Tea Room as a good place for a quiet lunch, which led me here a little after noon on a Friday. As many times as I’ve driven by the tea house on Main Street in Carmel, I hadn’t paid enough attention to realize it was a restaurant and not someone’s home.
