Knowing I’d only be in town a few days, one of which would be taken up by a conference, I wanted to experience as much of Nashville as I could in a short period of time. The Discover Nashville Tour was a great way to get a fast overview of the city as a newcomer.

After a spectacular day of exploring Savannah for my birthday, I was ready for some downtime on the beach. Unfortunately for me, winds were at around 25-30 mph and the sky was overcast on the first of my two planned lazy beach days, so instead of laying on the beach, I ended up just doing some exploring.
A Birthday Trip to Savannah
Savannah’s always been on my list to visit, and I was excited for this Savannah birthday trip for weeks beforehand. Only having one day set aside to spend in Savannah made it tough to narrow down the best way to use such a limited amount of time, but pre-planning the first part of the day and leaving the evening open-ended worked out pretty well to get a good feel for this historic city without feeling rushed.
