I’ve been getting a little bored with the usual cocktails, and a new bottle of Empress 1908 Gin has given me the motivation I needed to try some new cocktail recipes! I decided to make the Q1908 cocktail (from the Empress Gin website), as well as come up with a cocktail of my own.
Around Chicago: Brunch at Machine
There’s nothing like the boredom of social distancing to make you want to start flipping through old photos on your phone, and the latest rabbit-hole of image browsing made me realize I have a LOT of brunch pics!
I’ve been craving brunch so much since being homebound. And since I’ve enjoyed quite a few fantastic brunch spots since I’ve moved to Chicago, I decided to share some of my favorites with you in the coming weeks, starting with Machine: Engineered Dining & Drink in Wicker Park.
Support Machine: Engineered Dining & Drink by ordering delivery through UberEats or purchasing a gift card from their website!
Around Chicago: Amaru
I didn’t know much about this Latin-inspired restaurant, but I was excited to try Amaru since it was a new, highly-rated restaurant in Wicker Park.
Around Chicago: Little Beet Table
Gluten is one of my best friends. As in, any talk of gluten-free anything and I will slowly back out of the conversation. So, when an opportunity arose to check out Little Beet Table, a gluten-free restaurant with a veggie-forward menu, during a Yelp Elite event recently, I wasn’t exactly thrilled with the fact that it’s a gluten-free establishment but tried to keep an open mind.
The Best of Barcelona: Food & Wine
The best way to keep from giving in to exhaustion after crossing multiple time zones is to make sure you’ve got an activity lined up right away! This trip, I chose to book a food & wine tour, and it was probably the best decision I could have made for the first night in Barcelona.
