I had no preconceived notions about Balinese food before visiting, but was pleasantly surprised with the array of both Balinese and non-Balinese food & drinks available! And looking back on this trip, I ate a LOT!
I’ve been to Chicago dozens of times, mainly for a day at a time for work-related reasons, but decided it was high time I visit purely as a tourist, and a three-day weekend was the perfect time to make it happen! Here are 8 great spots I was able to visit during this latest trip:
On a whim, I made a quick first stop into Milktooth on the way home from a work trip. You can’t have lived in Indy for any amount of time and not at least heard of this place. And though I’ve heard great things about the food, I’ve heard the wait times can be brutal on weekends… which is usually the only time I’m in the downtown Indy area.
Wild Eggs has been my go-to brunch stop for years and I can’t believe I haven’t written a post about it already! At first glance, it looks a standard diner, complete with melamine tables and pastel-colored barstools, but you’ll find much more than standard diner fare on the menu here.
Meridian has been one of those popular Indy restaurants that I’ve known about for a long time but hadn’t visited until my birthday this year. Located at the intersection of Meridian & Westfield Boulevard in a large mansion-type of space with a log cabin feel on the inside, Meridian Restaurant & Bar is a cozy spot for enjoying a nicer-than-average meal with family and friends.
